Nice to have a peaceful night in a marina, not being tossed around by the elements. We slept well, not worrying about the boat bouncing around or checking if the anchor is holding.
Our berth at Magnetic
This morning was about maintenance. After breakfast we wandered off to find somewhere to fill our gas bottle, and have a bit of a look around. When we got back to the marina it was time to give the boat a good fresh water wash down, and remove a few stains.

An amazing fig tree in the main street near the marina
Ruby is only in the marina for last night, so is heading off to Horseshoe Bay later this morning to anchor around there before heading to Townsville to pick up some family. We plan to have a game of golf with them early next week before they go to Townsville.
Mark and Janet have family arriving this afternoon and have rented a house in Nelly Bay to accommodate everyone. They have been busy all day getting settled over there in anticipation of the family arriving.
Once the boat is clean again, and after lunch we decide to stretch our legs and go for walk to re- familiarise ourselves with the metropolis of Nelly Bay. Understandably this doesn't take a long time, but we have reconfirmed that the nearest fuel to the marina is a healthy distance away and I will get the trolley out and get some top up diesel some time in the next few days.
Magnetic Island has some great walks and we look forward to doing some of those over the next few days.
We will be heading around to Mark and Janet's house tomorrow night for a BBQ and to watch the Bledisloe Cup, which hopefully will be more compelling viewing than the Ashes Cricket Tour.
Tonight is a quiet dinner onboard Mica.
