This is our last day at Magnetic Island. We have had a great couple of weeks, but are looking forward to getting back on the water sailing back in the direction of the Whitsundays. With the current forecast, we plan to sail to Cape Upstart tomorrow, with an early start, as it is around 70 nm.
It is another overcast day, with just a little rain this morning that quickly dissipated. We took the dinghy into the town mid morning to get fresh bread and a few salad veggies to tide us over the next week. The Sunday markets were on, but there was little of interest other than some nice fresh veg.
Having returned our purchases to the boat, we motored over to a beach on the eastern side of the bay, where there is the remnants of a substantial wreck.
After having a look around there we called in to see our new acquaintances from our time at Airlie, Tony and Kerry on Tokeresa. We had a nice cup of coffee and a good chat before heading back to Mica for lunch.
Tokeresa anchored not far from the beach we had motored over to
We relaxed on board for the afternoon, before heading back ashore to get rid of our rubbish and have dinner at Sandis Restaurant, which was good quality home cooked food.
It was pretty tranquil conditions as we left our dinghy on the beach to go and find somewhere to eat
