Sunday 2nd August 2015
It is another lovely day at Airlie. The breeze is back to a nice sailing breeze
and hopefully will remain that way for the next few days. If anything it may
drop out a bit tomorrow.
We are well and truly ready to get back out
on the water and head North. Mark and Janet arrived back this afternoon and
preparations are under way to get away tomorrow morning to sail to Gloucester
Island, our first intended stop on the way to Magnetic Island.
Last minute shopping and a few chores getting
the boat ready are out of the way. We will look at the conditions in the
morning and decide whether to get the light weather sails out.
We expect things will get very busy around
the marina over the next few days as the bulk of the boats arrive for Airlie
Beach race week which starts on the 7th August, so we are looking
forward to being somewhere else.
By dusk we are enjoying probably the most peaceful conditions we have seen since being up here.
We caught up with Mark and Janet for dinner at Sorrento Restaurant and have agreed we will leave the marina tomorrow morning at 10am.
