Everything is set for a departure tomorrow. The forecast is OK but not great, but this part of the coast appears to be getting the ordinary weather for the next few days, and we would rather not sit around here any longer.
The biggest problem up here is getting the tides right so you don't spend too much of the day battling against the flow of the tide. In the case of sailing South, it is the outgoing tide that is the problem.
We have been in touch with Koonya who is still at Hamilton Island and they are also keen to get away, so we will head out with Wilparina at 9 am in the morning and all meet up tomorrow at Shaw or Thomas Island.
After a BBQ on Wilparina we had an early night.
