The rocking and rolling and strong southerly continued all night, so not a great night for sleep, but we got sufficient.
Some of the boats left early, but there are a lot here in the bay
The wind was still howling in the morning, but after a hearty breakfast we took the dinghy ashore to explore Svendsen's Beach, near where we are anchored. The are a few descendants of the family still living here with some not so sightly evidence of habitation.

A bit of shelter for Sundowners
A short walk across a small peninsula at the end of the beach takes you to Butterfish Bay on the Southern side of the island.

After a good stretch of our legs, we headed back to our boats to have lunch, and pull up anchor for a short afternoon sail to Rosslyn Bay.

Leaving Great Keppel at 1 pm, we were in the marina at Rosslyn Bay and tied up by 2.30pm. t was a fast reach across Keppel Bay in around 20 knots of breeze. We hit 10 knots max with just the main up, but the winds had whipped up the waves so it wasn't the most comfortable ride.
The weather is looking pretty ordinary until Saturday, so we are likely to be here for a few days. We have already met 3 other Hanse owners on our marina leg, and know a few other boats who are also stranded here.
