The anchor is up at around 7 am and the weather forecast suggests a southerly change tonight or early Monday morning. We decided we would head to North East Island, part of the Percy Island Group and anchor on the Northern side, which is recommended for strong Southerlies.
We motored all the way (still no breeze, but a promise of a good breeze over the next few days) and arrived at 11.30am. We both had a bit of trouble setting the anchor in a gravelly / coral bottom but got firm hold in the end.
The Percy Group are very scenic and we saw some dolphins in the channel between Middle and South Percy, Rod and Lee saw a whale off Middle Percy.
Since we have been in Blunt Bay at NE Percy we have seen turtles, dolphins and manta rays, but have only caught one tuskfish, which was undersized.
Manta Ray
It was a great overnight anchorage surprisingly free of any surge or strong tidal effects.

Still not able to get any reception on mobiles or internet, but weather updates through the VHF radio are available.
